Meow – my name is Jasper and I am a fairly new addition here. I am young and very mischievous and knew I had a hard act to follow after Dolly had died. The people chose and rescued me from Julie’s Animal Refuge in Warkworth. I like to let them think that, but actually they all looked happy and very pleased to see me that I chose them! Being so inquisitive I do seem to get myself into some difficult situations and have probably used up some of my 9 lives because I was hit by a car. I had to spend 2 months in this indoor cage to get better because I had 4 fractured bones in my pelvis – ouch it really hurt. I feel a lot better now because everyone really looked after me and made me feel special!
I love bouncing around my home but I have to rest every so often, usually in a nice sunny spot because I don’t want to go back in my cage but I do have a choice of lots of comfy beds to sleep on!. I’ve got lots of hobbies; I love eating, drinking water from the tap and playing in the pantry. Another favourite pass time of mine is being helpful: I love helping the people here with their arts and crafts and finding lost jigsaws pieces. I haven’t mastered finding odd socks from the washing line yet but I'll keep looking!
